My Story

I studied Illustration at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee and have been working freelance for many years alongside working in the bar trade. During the Covid pandemic, when the bars closed, I decided to start illustrating the many bars i had worked in. This struck a nerve with the public. Everyone has a favourite pub, right?

In 2022, I took it a step further and started to recreate them in miniature. Using rudimentary materials that i had around me, i had the idea of using recycled cardboard and bits and bobs to recreate these much loved buildings. Glasgow in particular has a wealth of incredible architecture but some of which have fallen into disrepair and sadly, some have been demolished altogether. This prompted me to try to recreate these once glorious buildings before they are gone. I love pulling out all the details of the buildings, the graffiti and the decay.

Of course, I also love to recreate family homes! The idea of making a beloved home in miniature, hearing all the stories and history within those walls, is a dream. Let me recreate those cherished memories for you!
